1072 Club
Durham Castle was built in 1072 under the reign of William the Conqueror. Since then the Castle has become much more than a defensive fortress; over the years it has been a palace, a College and a museum. The 1072 Club is a celebration of this rich history and tradition, a reminder that all of us are part of its amazing heritage and that together we can help preserve and protect our home and build a thriving community for the years to come.
The 1072 Club recognises long standing commitment to the College, and in particular those who support us with gifts of £10.72 or more per month.
